It has a long history, having been occupied since the Lower Paleolithic Era and was colonized by the British as part of the East Africa Protectorate. Although there is great ethnic diversity, Kenyans do have a great sense of pride when it comes to their country, having achieved complete independence in 1963. Today, Kenya receives travellers with open arms to explore this fantastic country and witness the incredible wildlife, amazing scenery and welcoming people.
