Medjugorje is a fascinating destination and a popular religious pilgrimage site after six local Catholics claim to have seen the Virgin Mary. Feel the presence of the divine on this Medjugorje pilgrimage that will take you to the main sights – from the steps of Cross Mountain, up Apparition Hill and a climb up Krizevac Mountain amongst other pilgrims. With a name that signifies an area between mountains, Medjugorje boasts a pleasant climate with warm sunshine, green pastures and an ever-present sensation of serenity.

On this 4 Day/3 Night Medjugorje short break, travellers will have the opportunity to experience beautiful Medjugorje and explore its most important highlights whilst also getting an inside perspective.

Pilgrims partaking in this itinerary will have the opportunity to enjoy Medjugorje from a local perspective. You will be accompanied by a local guide have a chance to enjoy daily mass at St. James Church in English. Take the path up Apparition Hill and see the spot where the young visionaries first saw Our Lady. As you climb, contemplate the inspired artistry of the bronze plaques depicting the mysteries of the rosary, before reaching the top where a cross stands to commemorate the spot where Mary appeared to the visionaries.

In the evening, you are welcome to join the local villagers and pilgrims to pray the rosary and to be present in the church when the apparitions occur. Afterwards, you are welcome to stay for the Croatian Mass and the Blessing of the Sick. Your guide will also arrange a meeting with the visionaries in their homes.

One of the most memorable experiences will be climbing beautiful Krizevac Mountain, where in 1933 villagers built a thirty foot cross on the anniversary of Jesus’ crucifixion.

The Local Package Supplier accepts bookings subject to the following conditions:

1. Holiday contract

The holiday contract is between the Local Package Supplier and the client, being any person travelling or intending to travel on a tour operated by the Local Package Supplier

2. Changes by Local Package Supplier

While the Local Package Supplier will do its best to operate all tours as advertised but by accepting these conditions the Client also accepts that it may prove necessary or advisable to vary or modify a tour itinerary or its contents due to prevailing local conditions or any other reason. The Local Package Supplier reserves the right to change and correct errors in any of the facilities, services, prices or itineraries described in brochure and/or on websites at any time before your booking is confirmed. Most changes are minor.

If a significant change has to be made, the Local Package Supplier will inform the client as soon as reasonably possible, if there is time before departure.

If advised of a significant change before departure the Client will have the choice of either:

a. accepting the changed arrangements (at additional cost if applicable); or

b. purchasing another available tour (paying or receiving a refund in respect of any difference in price); or

c. cancelling the tour and obtaining a full refund.

3. Passports and Visas

Clients must ensure that they are aware of all relevant passport and visa requirements and that they allow adequate time to obtain them. Requirements can change and it is the Clients’ responsibility to ensure that they comply with current passport, visa and health requirements and take all necessary documents with them to gain access to any country or region which forms part of the tour.

REQUIREMENTS FOR OBTAINING VISA

Listed below are documents required when applying for a visa to Bosnia and

Herzegovina

1. Valid passport of applicant

2. Application form (completed and signed) made by our travel Agency

3. Copy of valid US visa or Alien Registration card

4. Copy of round trip ticket or itinerary

5. One passport size pictures

In addition to the above, following items must be presented:

a) If traveling as a tourist:

1. Voucher of travel agency stating that trip has been paid in full

2. Copy of your last bank statement

In order to arrange the application for entry visa to our country we need your passport information latest 1 month prior your departure.

4. Holiday participation

All Clients are expected to satisfy themselves prior to booking that they are fit and able to complete the itinerary of their chosen tour as described in the Company’s brochures and website.

5. Local Laws

All participants in tours operated by the Local Package Supplier are expected to obey the laws and regulations of the countries visited and any failure to do so will relieve the Local Package Supplier of all obligations.

6. Liability

It is important to us that you are happy with your tour and that you understand the nature of our tours. We would, therefore, ask that you take a few minutes to read these booking conditions and if you need clarification on any point please do not hesitate to contact us.
