TERMS AND CONDITIONS  

The “Local Package Supplier” is a responsible tourism operator based in Chile. In line with their policy, through their trips they seek to: 

• Minimise their impact on the environment during each visit.
• Generate incomes for local communities by visiting locally owned attractions and hiring local guides.
• Take economic, environmental and cultural factors into account when considering new destinations.
• Encourage travellers to act responsibly and respect the local community, its culture and traditions.

 1. Services included:

The programs include accommodation, meals, excursions, ground transportation, among others, provided when these are clearly indicated in each program.

2. Services not included:

Trips do not include extra services such as telephone calls, tips or laundry, and anything not specifically mentioned or not detailed in the description of each program, trip or activity.

Personal medical and / or travel insurance is not included and should be arranged by each passenger.

3. Rates:

The fees include all services specified in the itinerary. Any other service not specified will be paid directly by the client. Rates are guaranteed for the period stipulated. However, these rates may vary due to events beyond our control, such as excessive increases in fuel, natural disasters, and significant currency fluctuations, among others.

4. Liability:

The “Local Package Supplier” imposes strict quality controls to providers, and acts as an intermediary with certain services, mostly meals and accommodation, but is not responsible for deficiencies in any of the services provided by such suppliers. Additionally, the “Local Package Supplier” shall not be liable for:

(a) expenses such as additional hotel nights and meals not specified in the individual trip itineraries that may be required either en route, prior to, or following a trip, when caused by individual clients' travel arrangements, by airline scheduling or airline schedule changes, canceled flights, missed flight connections or by other factors beyond their control;

(b) expenses incurred in recovering luggage lost by airlines, belongings left behind on a trip, or in shipping purchases, or other goods, home from abroad;

(c) bodily injury, property damage or loss of reservations or services for any reason, including but not limited to acts of God, weather, earthquakes, quarantines, strikes, civil disturbance, theft, default, detention, annoyance, changes in government regulations, terrorism, road closures, public transportation scheduling problems, war, or failure of conveyance to arrive or depart as scheduled, etc., over which the “Local Package Supplier” has no control.

5. Trip participant’s responsibility:

It is the Trip Participant’s Responsibility to select a trip appropriate to their abilities and interests. Trip members are held responsible for being in sufficient good health to undertake the trip. Trip members are responsible for preparing for the trip by studying the itinerary and pre-departure information sent by the “Local Package Supplier” and for bringing the appropriate clothing, health care items and equipment as advised therein or that common sense dictates.

Some of our tours may be physically demanding and may require travel to areas where medical facilities are virtually non-existent and evacuation can be prolonged, difficult and expensive. The “Local Package Supplier” assumes no liability regarding provision of medical care. Trip participants are urged to check their insurance coverage to be sure it is adequate.

The “Local Package Supplier” does not supply or sell Trip Insurance. It is the responsibility of each Trip Participant to make sure that they have their own medical, accident and travel insurance that is effective in foreign countries.

6. Passport, Visas and Reciprocity Fees:

All Trip Participants are required to have a valid Passport with at least 6 months left before it expires. It is recommended that Trip Participants have their Passport ready at least 4 months before the travel date, as Passport numbers may be required by some providers before committing to delivering their services.

The “Local Package Supplier” does not provide any services related to the paper work required to obtain visas to enter Chile. It is the Trip Participant’s responsibility to find out with their closest Chilean Consulate whether or not they will need a visa and how long it takes for it to be issued.

Citizens of some countries (Australia, United States, Canada, Mexico and Albania) are required by the Chilean Government to pay a reciprocity fee before entering Chile. It is the Trip Participant’s responsibility to bring enough cash to pay for this fee upon arrival to the country.

The “Local Package Supplier” will not reimburse any expense related to Passports, Visas or Reciprocity Fees.

- If cancellation is made between 0 and 15 days before departure a fee equivalent to 100% of the total booking value is payable.
- If cancellation is made between 16 and 30 days before departure a fee equivalent to 75% of the total booking value is payable.
- If cancellation is made between 31 and 45 days before departure a fee equivalent to 50% of the total booking value is payable.
- If cancellation is made 46 days or more before departure a fee equivalent to 25% of the total booking value is payable.
